Spectacular Display of Innovative and Creative Presentations at Interschool, Munshi Memorial Science Talk, ‘Eureka 2023’

Bhavan’s Lloyds Vidya Niketan, Wardha organised Munshi Memorial Science Talk, “Eureka” on 13th January, 2023 to develop the natural curiosity and imagination among students to quench their thirst of creativity en route of development of science and technology for achieving major goals of self-reliance and socio-ecological development. The competition is organised every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of the youth icon of the era, Swami Vivekananda and to pay rich tribute to the founder of Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan’s Kulpati K. M. Munshiji.

A scientific atmosphere pervaded in the arena of Bhavan’s Lloyds Vidya Niketan, when the budding scientists in and around various schools in Wardha unfolded and unveiled the galore of inventions and mysteries through their exuberant presentations.

Dr. S P Kalantri, Director & Professor, MGIMS, Sewagram was the Chief Guest for the Inaugural session along with Mr. R P Gupta C.F.O. EVSL, Wardha and Mr. S. N. Patil, Plant Head EVSL, Wardha as the guest of honour. Dr. Sachin Pawade, Paediatrician & Consultant Physician, Wardha adorned the chair for the Valedictory Function.

A panel of eminent jury members judged the laborious efforts of the participants. The esteemed judges for the event were Dr. Anshu, Dr. Archana Dhok, Dr. Mangesh Yerpude and Dr. Abhishek Kinhekar.

The programme commenced on a consecrated note with the ceremonial lighting of lamp by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.

The event was divided into two categories Group A-(VI-VII), Group B- (VIII-IX). In group A the first position was clinched by Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Shrikrishna Nagar, Nagpur. Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Ashti, Nagpur and Centre Point School Katol road Nagpur secured the second and third position respectively.

In group B the first position was clinched by Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Koradi, Nagpur. The second and third position were bagged by Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Trimurti Nagar, Nagpur and Alphonsa Sr. Sec. School, Wardha respectively.

The team of Bhavan’s Lloyds Vidya Niketan, Wardha comprising Narayani Patil, Prachi Bobade, Revati Pethe & Rashi Thakare kept itself aloof from the competition but gave fabulous presentations in both the categories.

Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest,

Dr. S. P. Kalantri highlighted the benefits of science and how the various branches of science work. He stressed that students should always be curious and question whatever comes their way.

He also explained that being curious and thinking out of the box, helps in innovation and discovering new ideas Dr. Sachin Pawade stressed on the importance of conservation of water, especially explained rain harvesting as the best method for the same.

He highlighted the demerits of excessive screen time and how it can affect a person’s career and relationship with others.

The dignitaries congratulated the participants and appreciated the efforts of the school towards incepting the essence of creativity.

The programme concluded with Vote of Thanks and National Anthem. The School Principal, Staff and students worked relentlessly for the success of the programme.
