Rainwater Harvesting Awareness Workshop

As part of the school’s ongoing commitment towards environmental sustainability, an informative session on Rainwater Harvesting was conducted on 16-July-2025 during the morning assembly. Dr. Sachin Pawade, a noted paediatrician and a respected environmentalist and expert in sustainable water management, led the session. He was accompanied by another prominent eco-activist Dr. Prashant Wadibhasme.

During the workshop, Dr.Pawade and Dr.Wadibhasme demonstrated the working of specialized equipment designed to capture rainwater from the terrace, which can be redirected to recharge the borewell. His practical demonstration helped students and staff visualize the simple yet highly effective process of conserving rainwater.

The session was attended by the entire school, from students to teaching and non-teaching staff. Dr. Pawade emphasized the urgent need to adopt such sustainable practices, especially in urban areas facing water scarcity. He encouraged students to become ambassadors of change, promoting rainwater harvesting in their own homes and communities.

The demonstration not only enhanced awareness but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards natural resource conservation among the students. The school management thanked Dr. Sachin Pawade and Dr. Prashant Wadibhasme for his valuable guidance and plans to integrate similar eco-friendly initiatives in future activities.
