Event: Inter-House Display Board Decoration Competition
Theme: Our Ancient Temples: Hubs of Art, Science and Society
An Inter-House Display Board Decoration Competition was organized on 24th July 2026 for students of Classes VIII to X. The competition provided students with an opportunity to explore India’s rich heritage while combining research, creativity, teamwork, and artistic presentation.
The theme, “Our Ancient Temples: Hubs of Art, Science and Society,” encouraged students to look beyond temples as monuments of faith and discover them as remarkable examples of science, mathematics, engineering, architecture, art, and community life.
Students from the four houses — Aravali, Himalaya, Sahyadri, and Shivalik — selected examples of exceptionally designed ancient temples and presented their distinctive features. Through carefully researched information, illustrations, diagrams, photographs, creative layouts, and informative captions, the students highlighted aspects such as architectural precision, intricate carvings, astronomical knowledge, mathematical planning, engineering techniques, and the role of temples as centres of social and cultural life.
