World Scout Scarf Day &LokmanyaTilak Death Anniversary – 1st August 2026

BLVN observed World Scout Scarf Day on 1st August, celebrating the values of service, discipline, teamwork, leadership and responsible citizenship that form the foundation of the Scouting movement. Students participated with enthusiasm, wearing their scout scarves as a symbol of unity and their commitment to the spirit of helping others.

The occasion also marked the death anniversary of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, one of the prominent leaders of India’s freedom movement. Students were introduced to his remarkable contribution towards national awakening, education and the growth of public participation in the struggle for independence. His famous call for self-rule inspired generations to develop a strong sense of national pride and responsibility.

The combined observance offered students an opportunity to connect the ideals of service and leadership with the values of courage, patriotism and social responsibility. It reminded young learners that meaningful leadership is not merely about holding a position, but about serving others, standing for what is right and contributing positively to society.
